Artist Statement
As an artist, I am able to observe nature and all its aspects with a keen eye.
Only if we take a moment from our fast pace lifestyle and view the natural
world of majestic sunsets to the smallest seed, we will uncover masterpieces
in our midst. I admire the works of Diego Velazquez, Rembrandt, Peter Paul
Rubens, John Singer Sargent and Philip De Laszo and therefore I use the
style of realism. With this I consider myself a lifetime student who is forever
evolving and improving as an artist. It is my mission, challenge and privilege
to use my talent to edify and unite all peoples in spite of their age, values,
race, color and social status. Each moment I face a new canvas I have the
opportunity to incorporate my thoughts, energy and creativity even if I've
painted the same concept numerous times yet I will always capture a new
light.
As a realism artist, I believe it is a privilege to be able to portray the real life
that surrounds me. I feel very fortunate to be able to live and paint at the
same time.
